The Bellaire Environmental Sustainability Board, Nature Discovery Center, and Zero Waste Houston have relaunched the free food waste drop-off program to help residents turn scraps into compost. Drop your food scraps in the compost barrel during open park hours—it’s easy, free, and good for the planet!

Accepted items include:
- Food scraps (veggies, fruit, coffee grounds, etc.)
- Meat, bones, seafood, shells
- Compostable cups/utensils
- Paper napkins, towels, and cut flowers
