From the City of Bellaire:
PATRONS for Bellaire Parks presented two checks to the City of Bellaire for park and playground improvements at Lafayette Park and a Park Master Plan for Evergreen Park.
Council Member Cindy Taylor presented an update on the We Are Evergreen park initiative.
Bellaire City Council approved the following measures:
- An ordinance reducing the number of consecutive terms served by the City board and commission members from three to two.
- An ordinance authorizing a contract with Superior Waste Industries, LLC, for sludge hauling and related services, not exceeding $89,000.00.
- An ordinance authorizing a contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc., for radio purchases, equipment repairs, and related services, not exceeding $70,000.00.
- Accepted a donation from the PATRONS for Bellaire Parks for a play structure at Lafayette Park and the development of a Park Master Plan for Evergreen Park.
- Appointed new members for openings on the following boards & commissions: Board of Adjustment, Building and Standards, Culture and Arts, Environmental Sustainability, Evelyn’s Park Conservancy, L.I.F.E., Parks and Recreation, and Planning and Zoning.
- An ordinance authorizing a Professional Services Contract with The Broussard Group, Inc., for design services for Evergreen Park, not exceeding $50,000.00.
- An ordinance authorizing a contract with Fun Abounds, Inc. to install a play structure for children aged two to five at Lafayette Park, not exceeding $55,935.90.
