The City of Bellaire is proud to announce the appointment of Davis Farquhar as the new Fire Chief. Chief Farquhar brings two decades of dedicated service to the Bellaire community, having joined the department in 2005 as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Over the years, he has served in key leadership roles including Lieutenant, Captain, Commander, and most recently, Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal.

“Chief Farquhar has the strong support and respect of the regional fire/EMS community and of department employees, who are eager to work under his leadership,” said Sharon Citino, City Manager. “I’m confident that with Chief Farquhar, the community and staff will be in good hands, and the department will continue to grow in a positive direction.”
In his new role, Chief Farquhar will oversee all Fire Department operations, lead Emergency Management coordination, and collaborate closely with staff and community members to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality emergency services to Bellaire residents and businesses.
“I’m honored to serve as Fire Chief in the city where I began my career,” said Chief Davis Farquhar. “Bellaire is a special community, and I look forward to working with our dedicated team to continue providing excellent service and enhancing public safety for all.”
