From the Bellaire Police Officers Association:
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Date/Time: June 10, 2025, at approximately 0341 hours Bellaire Officers responded to a report of an attempted aggravated robbery. The victim reported that while waiting for Pacesetters to open, he was approached from behind by two young Hispanic males, one of whom pointed a firearm at him while attempting to rob him. The victim fled the scene on foot, and the suspects returned to their vehicle and attempted to flee the area.
Due to the rapid and coordinated response by Bellaire Officers, a strong law enforcement presence quickly saturated the area. The suspects, likely overwhelmed by the police presence, inadvertently returned to the original scene attempting to evade capture, where they were observed by officers. A traffic stop was initiated on the suspect vehicle, which displayed a fictitious temporary tag and matched the description provided by the victim.
Upon making contact with the occupants, officers detained both suspects and conducted a probable cause search based on the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The search resulted in the discovery of a loaded .45 caliber handgun, numerous rounds of ammunition, marijuana, cocaine, multiple ski masks, and a fictitious Social Security card.
Both suspects were Mirandized and subsequently admitted to being in the area and to their involvement in the attempted robbery. The individual in possession of the firearm was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and an ICE detainer was placed after processing. The second suspect was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office declined to pursue additional aggravated assault charges on the second suspect despite his confession and declined charges related to the fictitious Social Security card.
This shows the great your Bellaire Officers are doing day in and day out.
