From the Bellaire Police Department:
On 06/18/2025 at 2:44 p.m., a habitual theft suspect stole items from H-E-B and fled on foot, evading store employees. Bellaire officers quickly arrived on scene and, with the help of several alert citizens who pointed out the suspect’s direction of travel, located him hiding in bushes near Ferris Street.
The suspect, Alexander Marrero-Parla, was taken into custody for class B theft. He was also found to have an outstanding Federal Human Smuggling Warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals.
Great job to our patrol officers and observant citizens!
Since he fled on foot, I'm interested to know if he had a vehicle, came in by METRO, or lived in one of the surrounding apartment complexes.
