St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church will host its annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The Blessing of the Animals will take place on October 7, 2023 from 9:00-1:00 pm at 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025. The event will take place in the church’s main parking lot.
“God requires that we assist the animals, when they need our help. Each being (human or creature) has the same right of protection.” -St. Francis of Assisi
All companion animals (furry, feathered, winged and otherwise) are welcome. Please ensure that pets are either leashed or in a mobile pet home. For those who prefer, a drive-through option will be available.
*Pet care experts and organizations will be on hand.
*Each animal will receive Blessed prayer cards and medals.
*You will receive a free digital picture of you and your pet!
