The Board of Directors of PATRONS for Bellaire Parks wish to invite you to join us at the Wine and Tapas “Red and White” Gala, Saturday, March 25, 2023 for an evening of music and dancing, dinner and drinks, and a great auction. This signature annual fundraiser is all in the interest of continued improvements to our neighborhood parks and green spaces for our community’s continued use and enjoyment.
We are delighted to have as our Honorees this evening, Michael Fife and Dr. Creighton Edwards. Michael is a retired oncology social worker, former member of Bellaire City Council, longtime Bellaire volunteer, and leader of beautification efforts throughout the City. Dr. Creighton Edwards is an Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist with over 63 years of experience in the medical field and the inspiration for the Dr. Creighton L. Edwards, MD, Award in Compassionate Care. This award was created to honor Creighton L. Edwards, and his outstanding ability to show compassion, empathy, and respect while providing superior medical care.
Putting your contributions to work, PATRONS recently donated $70,000 for the development of new outdoor greenspace in the adjacent lot to the library, that will extend library services to residents and library customers. Our next project will be funding needed improvements at Joe Gaither Park, in the Northwest area of Bellaire. PATRONS continues to also fund the majority of the Party At The Pavilion community concert series. PATRONS has raised over $2 million for the benefit of local parks and facilities for purchase of park equipment in Bellaire’s 14 area parks. These significant donations go directly into Bellaire parks and are only made possible through generous underwriting by involved business and families.
