What is a Cardboard Boat Regatta?
A cardboard boat race, also known as a cardboard boat regatta, is a race with boats and/or paddles made entirely out of cardboard. Participants make their boats using only cardboard and duct tape prior to the event. On the day of the event, participants board the boats and race to the finish line!
The race will take place at the Evergreen Pool (4500 Evergreen St.).
How can I participate?
Anyone can participate- all you need is some cardboard and duct tape! Fill out a form to register your team!
Don’t want to enter a boat in the race? You can still contribute by donating large cardboard boxes to the Bellaire Recreation Center, 7008 Fifth St. during operating hours (please bring boxes inside, do not leave them outside of the facility).
Awards
Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.
