From Nature Discovery Center:
We are beyond excited to share that the Nature Discovery Center Enchanted Woods Nature Play Space in Russ Pitman Park is now under construction!
During construction, please be aware of the following impacts for visitors:
SOUTH END CLOSURE: The southeast corner of Russ Pitman Park and the entire south parking lot along Evergreen Street will be CLOSED and unavailable to visitors during construction. Please be mindful of any signs, safety warnings, and/or construction fencing you encounter.
PARKING: Parking will be in the Center’s north parking lot off Newcastle Street and on side streets in the neighborhood. We appreciate your kindness to our neighbors in making sure their driveways are not blocked.
PARK ACCESS: Foot traffic into the park will be along Newcastle at the Warbler Gate (a trail about 1/2 way along the length of the park) and Cardinal Gate (with the red brick columns and red brick path to the Center building). There will be no entry to the park (by foot or car) along Evergreen Street.
As we move from vision to reality, we hope these temporary inconveniences do not keep you from stopping by to enjoy our shady trails and to visit our Discovery Rooms and animal ambassadors.
