February 2021

2/20/2021  6300 WEST LOOP SOUTH – On 02-20-2021, Officer H. Lopez was dispatched to 6300 West Loop South in reference to an assault in progress. Upon arrival both parties involved were still present and the victim stated the suspect hit her in the face with her hand. The suspect stated the victim refused to leave the premises and was blocking the door refusing to let her leave. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office refused charges on all parties.

2/21/2021 5801 BISSONNET STREET – On 08/21/2021 at 2044 hours, Officer Younger and Officer Deliphose were dispatched to a disturbance at the above posted location. During the course of the investigation, citations were issued for general disturbance with possible county charges to be filed at a later date and time pending video evidence.

October 2020

10/15/2020 – 6639 FERRIS STREET On 10/15/2020 at 0319 hours, Officer Barrientos was dispatched to an assault in progress at the address above. Upon making contact with the victim, she stated a black male subject grabbed her neck in a choking manner and held her against the 2nd floor railing. The victim temporarily lost the ability to breath due to the choking and was in fear of falling over the railing. The suspect was placed in custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (hands).

August 2020

8/9/2020 – AGG ASSLT W/DEADLY WEAPON 48xx BELLAIRE BLVD On 08/09/2020 at 1518 hours, Officer Liccketto was dispatched to the 4800 block of Bellaire Boulevard in reference to a single vehicle crash. Officer Liccketto arrived and found one occupant next to the vehicle. The occupant stated the driver of the vehicle crashed on purpose because he wanted to hurt the passengers. Bellaire Officers were able to find the driver of the vehicle in the Frost Bank Parking Garage and was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

8/18/2020 – AGG ASSLT W/DEADLY WEAPON 6700 IH 610 WEST SERVICE ROAD On 08-18-2020 at 1212 hours, Officer H. Lopez was dispatched to the 6800 block of IH 610 West Service Road in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. Upon arrival Ofc. Lopez met with the victim who stated while she was driving South on IH 610 West Service Road approaching Bellaire Boulevard, an unknown person fired a firearm through her front passenger side window.

5/14/2020 – 5420 WEST LOOP SOUTH On 05/14/2020 at 1415 hours, Officer Bailey was notified by Bellaire Police Dispatch regarding an assault. Further investigation found the victim felt they were assaulted but decided to drop the investigation when it was found the employee had been fired.

5/30/2020 – 5910 IH 610 WEST LOOP SOUTH On 05/30/2020 at 2347 hours, Officers on duty responded to a shots fired call at the above mentioned location. Officers arrived on scene and located two subjects with multiple gunshot wounds and immediately provided medical care until ambulances arrived for transport to a hospital. During the investigation it was determined the shooting occurred in Houston and the scene was released to the Houston Police Department. The following Officers assisted in this investigation: Corporal O’Sullivan, Officers Bailey, Clisham, Schwausch, Salinas, and Younger and Detectives Andrade and Macedo.

April 2020

4/15/2020 6701 CHIMNEY ROCK RD On 04/15/20 at 1541 hours, Officer Ortega was dispatched to Chinese Seafood Plus Restaurant in reference to a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival Officer Ortega spoke to all parties involved and determined the suspect had threatened to harm the victim. After further investigation Officer Ortega issued the suspect a citation for assault by threat.

4/29/2020 – 49xx WELFORD DRIVE On 04/29/2020 at 1947 hours, Officer D. Norman was dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle believed to have just occurred. The victim stated he caught a black male wearing white pants and a white top in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect assaulted him and left the scene.

11/3/2019 – 47xx SUNBURST – On 11/03/2019 Officers were dispatched an assault where a female was assaulting a male who was accused of driving too fast. The female was charged with assault.

11/27/2019 6500 S RICE AVE. On November 27, 2019 at 1903 hours, Officer Clisham was dispatched to a disturbance call involving a weapon in the area listed above. It was reported that a vehicle cut the victim off at an intersection and blocked her vehicle from going anywhere. The passenger in the suspect vehicle then pointed a handgun at the victim and her passenger before fleeing the area. Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle in a nearby business parking lot. Officers contacted four suspects inside the vehicle. During the investigation a loaded handgun was recovered along with multiple baggies of marijuana. After further investigation one juvenile suspect was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. An adult male suspect was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. One adult female suspect was charged with interference with public duties, and a second adult female suspect was released with no charges.

September 2019

9/17/2019 – 5600 IH 610 NB – On September 17, 2019 at 1745 hours, Bellaire Police Department received a 911 call from a female victim advising she had been assaulted and left stranded on the freeway. Officers M. Santillanes and O. Barrientos responded to the call. Upon arrival officers met with the victim who advised the female suspect she was on a date with assaulted her in the suspect’s vehicle while traveling on IH 610. The victim had visible injuries. Officer Santillanes completed an assault report.

August 2019

8/24/19 – 5130 BELLAIRE BLVD – On August 24, 2019 at 1356 hours, Officers Baylis and Andrade were dispatched to the above location in reference to a male that assaulted an employee. At 1357 hours, Officer Baylis made contact with the suspect at the Metro Transit Center in the 5100 block of Bellaire Blvd. The suspect refused to identify himself and began to actively resist. Officers were able to detain the suspect after a brief scuffle. The Suspect was ultimately charged with resisting arrest. Officers Andrade, Bellard, Lysack, Quimby and Corporal O’Sullivan also assisted. Officer Baylis took the report.

July 2019

7/10/19 –  7800 IH 610 SB EXIT RAMP – AGG ASSAULT AGAINST PB SERVANT – On Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at approximately 1041 hours, Officers Quimby and Lysack were dispatched to a welfare check in the 7800 block of IH 610 WSR in reference to a subject in a wheelchair blocking a moving lane. Subject assaulted Officer Quimby with a white post containing two screws in it. Subject was placed into custody and charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer.

6/28/19 – 5800 IH 610 NB – On 06/28/19 at 2232 hours, Officer Ortega was dispatched to the above location in reference to a welfare check on a driver being detained by an off duty Deputy. Upon arrival Officer Ortega spoke to victim who stated he was struck on the thigh by the suspect’s vehicle. Officer Ortega did not observe any obvious injuries. After further investigation the suspect was placed into custody for assault. Officer Younger assisted in this case.

April 2019

4/10/2019 – 5133 BELLAIRE BLVD. – On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 0956 hours, Officers Quimby and Bailey were dispatched to above location in reference to a disturbance. Officers Quimby and Bailey arrived on location at approximately 0956 hours and met with the victim. The victim stated a customer spat on him. Suspect was arrested and charged with assault.

January 2019

1/16/2019 – 44xx ACACIA STREET – On Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2254 hours, Officer Quimby was dispatched to the above location in reference to a welfare check. A female contacted the Houston Police Department and advised her husband was bipolar, and a possible suicide or killing had occurred. Officer Quimby arrived at approximately 2300 hours and observed the female subject was standing against the front of the residence. The female was found to be intoxicated and placed into custody. While at the jail the female bit Officer Quimby’s left index finger causing him to feel pain. The female was then charged with assault on a public servant.

January 2018

1/05/2018  – 6701 CHIMNEY ROCK RD – On 01/05/18 at 0602 hours, Officer Ortega was dispatched to the address above in reference to an assault with injury just occurred. Upon arrival, Officer Ortega observed the victim to be bleeding from his left cheekbone and the suspect to no longer be on scene. The victim stated the suspect struck him in the face with a closed fist causing the victim pain and to bleed. After further investigation, the suspect was identified, but not located. Officer Ortega will be filing a To-Be Warrant on suspect.

2/3/2018  –  7008 S. RICE AVE On 02/03/2018 at 2249 hours, Officers Schwausch, Guerra, and Marcotte were dispatched to Boulevard Green in reference to a female stumbling and screaming in the street. After further investigation, the female was placed into custody for public intoxication. During the booking process, the female became resistant and bit Officer Schwausch’s left hand. The female was subsequently charged with assault on a peace officer.

5/16/18 – 52xx VALERIE STREET – On 05/16/2018 at 0917 hours, Officer Vorhees was dispatched to the above address in reference to an assault. Officer Vorhees met with the reportee who stated an unknown male came up behind her and grabbed her.

June

6/2/18 – 6639 FERRIS ST – On June 2, 2018 at about 0827 hours (hrs), Officer C. Barber with the Bellaire Police Department, was dispatched to the above address regarding an assault that had just occurred between an estranged boyfriend and girlfriend. The suspect fled the scene to the west into Houston and was not located, but the victim provided information on him. Officer Andrade, Sergeant Kerr and Detective Sandoval assisted with this investigation.

6/8/18 – 5002 BELLAIRE BOULEVARD – On 06/08/2018 at 1623 hours, Officer D. Norman was dispatched to 5002 Bellaire Blvd in reference to an assault. Upon further investigation, it was found the suspect shoved the victim over a verbal altercation. The suspect was placed in custody for assault bodily injury.

6/8/18 – 6750 WEST LOOP SOUTH – On 06/08/2018 at 1722 hours, Officer D. Norman was dispatched to 98xx Hillcroft Street in reference to a sexual assault that occurred at 6750 West Loop South. Upon further investigation it was determined the offense would be a simple assault.

6/19/2018 – 5600 IH 610 – On 06/19/2018 at 2111 hours, Officers were dispatched to the above location in reference to an assault in progress. Officer Guerra conducted an interview with both parties and determined they were mutual combatants. The driver was arrested for interfering with emergency call and was taken to the Bellaire Police Department for booking and processing. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office later refused all charges.

6/21/2018 – 5100 CEDAR ST – On 06/21/2018 at 1440 hours, Officer Andrade was dispatched to the 5100 block of Cedar Street in reference to an in-progress fight. Officer Andrade arrived and made contact with a male and female subject who stated they were not fighting. After further investigation, the female was determined to be the aggressor and was placed in custody for Class C Assault. The male subject was placed in custody for an outstanding Class B Misdemeanor warrant out of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Officers Vorhees, Liccketto, and Detective Salinas assisted with this incident.

July

7/13/2018 – 5000 BELLAIRE BLVD. – On 07/13/2018 at approximately 1531 hours, Officer Younger observed a rider on a dirt bike traveling on the sidewalk near the above location. Officer Younger attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the dirt bike which the rider decided to flee. Officer Younger pursued the dirt bike for approximately 2.10 miles before the suspect lost control of the bike, struck an officer with the bike, and fled on foot. A perimeter was set and with the help of Houston Police Officers, West University Place Police Officers, and Southside Police Officers the suspect was located and placed into custody.

August

8/10/2018 – GG ASSAULT AGAINST PB SERVANT 4400 NEWCASTLE DRIVE – EVADING ARREST/DET USING VEH 4400 NEWCASTLE DRIVE – On 08/10/2018 at 0842 hours, Detective Salinas was notified of an active scene involving an officer involved shooting. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Officer Vorhees observed a blue Ford Escape run a stop sign at the intersection of the 5400 block of Newcastle Dr and the 4400 block of Glenmont Dr. The Ford Escape was also being operated with a left tail light out, in the territorial limits of the City of Bellaire. Officer Vorhees attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Ford Escape and the driver evaded arrest in the Ford Escape. The pursuit came to an end in parking lot of a Shell Gas Station located at 5910 West Loop South, where the suspect exited his vehicle and fired a handgun towards Officer Vorhees, striking the marked patrol car he was in. The suspect also fired on additional officers as they were arriving. The suspect was eventually arrested by HPD SWAT after a standoff.

November

11/8/2018 – 6700 IH 610 ESR 11/8/2018 22:06 90Z ALL OTHER OFFENSES EVADING ARREST/DET 6700 IH 610 ESR On 11/08/2018 at approximately 2209 hours, Officer Marcotte made contact with a disabled motorist who had warrants for his arrest. While attempting to place the subject in custody, he slammed an Officer to the ground and took off on foot. He was chased by both Officers and placed in custody 2 blocks away. He was additionally charged with aggravated assault on a public servant and evading arrest.

11/13/2018 – 6700 SOUTH RICE AVENUE – On November 13, 2018 at 1722 hours, Officer Lysack was dispatched to the above location in reference to an assault which took place at the above location on November 12, 2018 at approximately 1530 hours. The suspect made disrespectful comments towards the victim before inappropriately touching her.

11/20/2018 – 5910 WEST LOOP SOUTH – On November 20, 2018 at 0920 hours, Officer Carson was dispatched to the Bellaire City Hall lobby, 7008 S. Rice Ave to meet with a victim of an assault. The victim was assaulted at the above address.

11/23/2018 – 5959 WEST LOOP SOUTH – On Friday November 23, 2018 duly sworn officers with the Bellaire Police Department, including Officer C. Barber, were dispatched to an assault in progress that started at the above location. Officers located the suspect and placed him into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officer Lopez, Officer Vorhees, and Sergeant Kerr assisted with this arrest.

December

12/22/2018 – 5301 BELLAIRE BLVD – On December 22, 2018 at about 1416 hours, Officer Barber, a sworn officer with the Bellaire Police Department, was dispatched to a disturbance at Burger King. While responding the call was escalated to an assault and the suspect was fleeing to the east on Bissonnet. Officer Barber spotted the suspect in the 5200 block of Bellaire and detained the suspect and after a field investigation, arrested the subject for Class C assault. Officer Trujillo and Officer Schwausch assisted with this arrest.
