Bellaire Fire Station

Join City leaders on June 18 at 5:30 pm at the Bellaire Fire Station for a Community Meeting presented by the City of Bellaire about hurricane preparedness.  This is a great opportunity to meet and speak with the first responders and City officials dedicated to keeping Bellaire safe in an emergency.

Take a tour of the Emergency Operations Center and peek inside the world of an emergency dispatcher.  There will be useful information available on everything from a hurricane preparation checklist to debris management.  Explore the vehicles used during an emergency and meet the employees that are trained to rescue you in any situation.

For more information on the Community Meeting please call 713-662-8222.

Be Prepared!  Don’t get caught in a panic. The Atlantic Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30 each year.  Hurricanes have heavy rains and winds that can cause damage to your homes and vehicles—even if you don’t live on the coast.  Since Bellaire is not in the surge zone and the choice to evacuate is a very personal decision, be sure your plan includes provisions to stay and leave.  Don’t forget pets in your planning strategy!
