From the City of Bellaire:
The City of Bellaire is excited to announce the Celebration of Independence Parade and Festival on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we honor 250 years of the United States and 50 years since the dedication of Bellaire’s Bi‑Centennial time capsule.
Festivities will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a parade down South Rice Avenue, followed by a community festival in Bellaire Town Square (7008 South Rice Ave.) lasting until 12:00 p.m.
The parade will start at South Rice Ave. and Valerie St. and travel south to Linden St. Residents are encouraged to line the route and enjoy the procession as it passes. The festival will begin immediately after the parade concludes, around 9:45 a.m., in Bellaire Town Square.
The celebration kicks off with the Children’s Bike Parade at 9:00 a.m., leading the main parade down South Rice Ave. Children are invited to decorate their bikes or trikes and ride or walk in the parade. There is no registration or fee to participate. Families wishing to join should meet at South Rice Ave. and Evergreen St.
This year’s festival will feature live music, food, and a wide variety of entertainment, including a petting zoo, inflatables, a foam pit, free cake, a stilt walker, and more family‑friendly fun. The mayor will also open a time capsule, buried in 1976 during Bellaire’s Bi‑Centennial celebration.
A special thank you to Texas Pipe & Supply Family Companies and Livewell Animal Hospital for their generous support in helping bring this annual Independence Day tradition to the community.
Please remember that no dogs or cats are allowed in the park. For more information, contact Bellaire Parks and Recreation at 713‑662‑8280 or visit www.bellairetx.gov.
